Importence of math for students to get jobs in India
Why math is important?
Math
is very important subject in our life. we apply it every day in our life. Now when it comes to the importance in getting jobs especially in India
then it increases its value. So it actually depends upon the type of job you
want to do. If you are interested in doing basic government jobs like different
posts in SSC, Banking then it’s quite important. But if you are planning to become
teacher or research person in a specific field then it is bit less demanding but till
you need to know the basic math.
For
example if you are doing any research in economics than you need have a decent
math skills, its not too demanding but you need to have some skills.
Are
you planning to do government jobs?
If you
are planning to do government jobs. Like many use to have plans to do
government jobs as government job
provide great security. Then math skill is very important. It’s not like you
need to have great knowledge about integration or differentiations but just the
basic skills with some probability, data interpretation. Now what if you are
weak in math from school days? The
solution for this question will be provided in end of the article.
Do you
want to go in teaching line?
If you
are dreaming to become a teacher in India even if subjects that have no
relation with math like history, political science than also you must have some
math practice. As now a days to become a school teacher or professors in government
colleges and universities you must have crack TET and NET respectively.
Now
for those who are planning to become a school teacher they must clear the
respective states TET exam. TET is the entrance exams that qualify you become government
school teacher. Now if a teacher for English is appearing for the TET exam than
where his math skill is tasted? Actually for every subject there will be a part
of reasoning and numerical ability. There you will be tasted with critical multiplication,
division, probability and some application of this math. These are not the toughest
math. But if you have not practice this for year than it is very tough one. And
if we give a class 10 student to do this than from 100 he or she will at least
score 30 which is enough to pass the exam. So if you are from science and have
opted subjects like zoology, botany or geography than just do some question of
these kind at least once a month. Same should be done for students from arts
stream. And if you have subjects like math, chemistry, statistics or physics than
you have enough practice to understand it but clearing exam depends on you
effort for the exam.
What
if you are willing to give SSC or Bank exams?
To be honest
for students appearing SSC and different exam math is quite important. Here you
should know class 10 maths. But you have a good practice. Here data
interpretation and probability will be tasted in a good enough level.
Now
what if you are weak at math since your school days?
This
question than I have promised to answer in the last part. So I my point of view
no one is weak at math it’s actually the preparation that is done in wrong way,
in less amount or the focus has not been there. So for those who believe that
they are weak in math’s they should do these things:
1.
Study
the CBSE class 6 to 8 math book.
It’s
quite easy but the practice will give you the idea about the problems that come
in the entrance exams.
2.
Learn
the basic well.
The
biggest problem for students not being good at math does not know the basics
well. The basic means the LCM and HCF and multiplication with fractions and dividing
integers.
3.
After
following the previous two steps do previous year question papers of specific
exam you going to appear. We will find comparatively easy and will have great
deal of confidence while solving the problems.
